At Kairo Knots, we celebrate the rich legacy of family, craftsmanship, and the diverse landscapes of Egypt. Founded by two sisters, our brand is more than just home linens—it’s a tribute to the timeless art of Egyptian embroidery passed down through generations and a reflection of the contrasts that shape us.
A Legacy of Craftsmanship
Our story began long before the brand’s inception. Rooted in the vision of our grandfather, who ran a successful sewing machine retail store in Qalyubia, the legacy continued with our parents. Our father, a pioneer in embroidery machine design, and our mother, who founded her own embroidery factory, laid the foundation for our family’s deep connection to the textile industry. In 2024, we revived the factory, launching Kairo Knots to honor these roots, blending generations of craftsmanship with our own creative vision.
Inspired by Egypt’s Natural Beauty
Growing up between Egypt's bustling cities and the tranquil beauty of Ain El Sokhna, we were immersed in nature’s raw beauty, spending our childhood barefoot, running wild with our dogs, and swimming in the sea. This simple, nature-filled upbringing has shaped our designs, particularly in our boho chic tufted duvets, which draw inspiration from tribal patterns, desert colors, and organic shapes. These pieces reflect the carefree, vibrant energy of our childhood and our deep connection to the earth.
A Fusion of Heritage and Modernity
There is also a beautiful juxtaposition seen in our collection—and in us as people—that honors our mother, whose love for culture, beauty, and adventure pushed us to embrace new experiences. Her spirit lives on in the classic, intricate designs of Siwa embroidery, Greek-inspired patterns, and geometrical arabesques, blending timeless elegance with boldness and discovery.

At Kairo Knots, we embrace our diverse influences. Each piece reflects a different version of Egypt—the lively streets, the serene desert, the beautiful coastline, and the quiet villages where families laugh and connect. Our collection is a reflection of this rich tapestry, and of the joyful, messy, and adventurous children we were, and now, the children we are raising. They are the loudest, messiest, dreamiest barefoot kids, carrying forward the same love for life and nature.

Our brand thrives today with a team of artisans who have been with our family for years—many of them the original employees who joined our parents' journey decades ago, and now, with new additions to this journey as their adult children come on board with us to continue the legacy.
